Line of Credit

A pre-approved borrowing arrangement that lets an ad account spend ahead of payment, common on established agency accounts.

A line of credit on an ad account allows spend to continue before payment is collected, up to an approved limit, functioning similarly to a revolving credit facility. This is distinct from prepay, where funds must be loaded before any spend occurs, and it's generally only available to accounts with an established, verified billing history.

Agency ad accounts with strong standing often carry meaningfully larger credit lines than a typical client-owned account could obtain on its own, which is one of the practical advantages of running spend through an agency's infrastructure rather than a brand-new client Business Manager.
