Appeal Process

The formal request advertisers can submit asking Meta to re-review a disapproved ad or restricted account.

The appeal process lets an advertiser contest a disapproval or restriction they believe was applied incorrectly, submitting the case for a fresh review, sometimes by a human reviewer rather than the original automated system. Appeals can succeed when the original decision was a false positive, but they rarely succeed when the underlying content genuinely violates policy.

Agencies with dedicated account managers and, in Power Ads' case, 24/7 support treat the appeal process as a time-sensitive task, since every hour an ad account sits restricted during an active campaign is lost spend and lost results, especially for time-sensitive offers.
