Meta told investors on October 21 that Meta One, its unified subscription for consumers, creators and businesses, has passed 15 million subscriptions and trials. The business tiers bundle features that overlap with paid media, such as clickable links in organic posts and AI replies on WhatsApp. This explainer covers what each tier includes and where it fits alongside an ad budget.
What Meta announced
On the Q3 2026 call, Meta said it announced the global expansion of Meta One in September and that it is rolling out gradually with more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, including Meta Business Agent and Meta AI. Meta said the core apps stay free and the subscriptions add specialised capabilities and more AI usage.
Meta's help centre still describes Meta One as rolling out with limited availability, so not every country or account can buy it yet.
What the business tiers include
There are four business and creator tiers: Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max. Each tier includes everything below it. Meta's help page lists the following limits.
- Essential: verified badge and a link page with up to 20 links in the Instagram bio
- Advanced: links in 4 Instagram posts, 4 Instagram Reels and 8 Facebook Reels a month, 500 WhatsApp Business broadcast credits, scheduling of posts and Reels up to a year ahead
- Expert: 8 Instagram post and Reel links, 20 Facebook Reels links, 1,250 broadcast credits
- Max: 12 Instagram post and Reel links, unlimited Facebook Reels links, 5,000 broadcast credits and up to 50 protected business accounts
Who it affects
Small brands and affiliates who drive traffic from organic Reels now have a paid way to put a link on the post itself instead of only in the bio or a Story. WhatsApp-heavy businesses get broadcast credits and access to Meta Business Agent for 24/7 AI replies, which scales with tier. Meta says certain profile and Page categories cannot use these plans, and government and political entities are excluded from paid benefits.
How to think about it next to ads
Meta One does not change how the ads auction works, and nothing on Meta's help page says a subscription affects ad delivery or account review. Treat it as an organic and messaging tool. If organic Reels already send you traffic, a linked Reel is a cheap test against your paid cost per click. If WhatsApp is your sales channel, compare the broadcast credits with what you pay for marketing messages today.
What it means for you
- Meta One passed 15 million subscriptions and trials, according to Meta's Q3 call.
- Clickable links in organic posts and Reels start at the Advanced tier, with monthly caps.
- A subscription does not change ad delivery or ad review; budget it as an organic tool.
- Check availability for your country and Page category before planning around it.
